Topic: Powering the fan mod

So what should I use to power the 40mm fan mod?  I would love to splice into the fan power supply line but am afraid it wouldn't be enough or it would draw too much power off the regular fan.  If that's the case could I just usurp the LED power supply line?  I can power them from a deprecate source easy enough.  This is what my board looks like.  I already got my fan, I just need to print the mount and a pem nut removal tool and buy the a rod and the Doodle will become 2.0 this weekend wink

Re: Powering the fan mod

You should have no problems splicing into the other fan.  There is plenty of power available on those pins to run several fans.
