Topic: where can i find up to date slic3r setting for SD2 ?

Are the slic3r settings on the wiki the most recent ones for the SD2 ?

I just had a hard drive crash so I installed a new version of ubuntu 14.4 and setup the solidoodle software from the official site. I then installed the latest version of Repetier host. Everything is up and working except the default slic3r settings that came in the official software differ from the ones in the wiki. My prints are not coming out very well with either settings.

Does anyone know which are the preferred setting for slic3r with a SD2 ? Or better, does anyone have a good working set of settings they can post.

Open Slic3r, click on the Help tab, then open "Search For Updates"

I recently updated RH while attempting to upgrade boards, and I had a problem with Slic3r. I had to manually update it with RD and then I noticed every single profile I had was messed up and needed tweaking. Not a massive issue, but a nuisance. My quality suffered until I tweaked said profiles.

Multiple SD2s- Bulldog XL, E3D v5/v6/Lite6, Volcano, Hobb Goblin, Titan, .9 motor, Lawsy carriages, direct Y drive, fishing line...the list goes on

I probably should have mentioned that i installed Slic3r's most recent linux version 1.1.7 and set the correct path in RepieterHost.

I just need to know which slic3r settings are the correct ones to use. the ones bundled in the official solidoodle software , the ini files have slightly different values then the wiki shows for the SD2.

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

I was looking for some Slic3r settings for SD2, too - however they (Slic3r) have changed their .ini files in newer versions.
Based on the "old-style" settings that had been on the SD-blog, I figured out some settings that work pretty well for me with ABS, please find the settings attached - I'm glad if anybody else can use the settings. They come without any guarantee, though! wink
