Topic: RAMPS 1.4 extruder fan Kaput.

I was installing a new extruder fan assembly SD3 with RAMPS1.4 board, and inadvertently shorted out the wires.  Now I have no fan.

For those familiar with the RAMPS board, the fan is driven off the D9 connector.  Everything else seems to be working fine (extruder heater, bed heater, steppers, even the 12V AUX that drives the fan behind the extruder motor).  Only the filament cooling fan is out.

The question I have is: Is there a fuse anywhere that I'm missing, or do I need to replace Q2 MOSFET to get this back on line?

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...

In the schematic there are no fuses directly for the mosfets. Before replacing the mosfet check PS3 make sure you have +12volts. The +12volts feeds Q1 PS5. If you have voltage +12volts replace the Q2 mosfet.

Well, it turned out I blew out the trace from Q2 output  (pin 2) to the D9 connector.  Repaired it with a piece of wire and I'm back in business.

I'm glad it was a easy fix.
