Topic: Solidoodle 2 settings

If anyone has settings that they are using successfully with Repetier Host 1.06 and the Solidoodle 2 I would really appreciate a complete posting.  I am having some significant problems and a complete set of working settings would be great to help me debug my issues. Slic3r would probably be a good idea as well.

Thank you very much!

Essentially that RH will not print.  It then stops and says I have X commands waiting.  It did work when I first upgraded but then it stopped working unexpectedly so I am assuming that it is a setting I changed.

I have a further explanation in a couple of posts below but I am slowly working through the issues.

Re: Solidoodle 2 settings

Check your baud rate and connection port in the printer settings.

Baud rate should be 250000

depends which motherboard. newest boards use lower rate about half like 115000

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

Re: Solidoodle 2 settings

Exactly, that's why I am hoping to get complete settings from someone.  I have checked a lot of settings but there were some pretty big differences between the time that Solidoodle released the first version of the 2 (I have the newer motherboard) and the new version of RH.

I have tried things here and there (changing the baud rate, disconnect setting, etc.) but no single thing seems to do the trick. Nor does uninstalling, wiping the registry settings and app data folders and reinstalling so I am down to settings.
