Topic: Heatsink for X axis

I am thinking about trying to put a heatsink on the X axis motor, I am printing a very complex .1mm piece and the motor is VERY hot....

anybody already to this or am I gonna need to do a writeup!

I was thinking of doing the same, but trying to find a small sized heatsink is proving difficult. So write it up and post some pictures!

Digikey provides them in all sizes, should you need any. They are not the cheapest supplier by a long-shot.

Plenty of CPU heatsink blocks would do the trick.  They are slightly bigger, but usually aluminum and easy to cut down.

I couldn't find a proper size one..... so I just made it... wire edm. smile

hows the temp of it with the heatsink on?  I have a small fan coming and some extra thermal paste which im going to try on mine
