Topic: Slicer Infill problem

Hi All,

I'm on the latest Repetier and Slicer software and have noticed that I seem to get infill at about 50% no matter what percentage I select in the configuration.  This was happening before and after I updated.  Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution to it?  Thanks.

Re: Slicer Infill problem

Before you get too freaked out, make sure you're changing the settings in slic3r on the same profile you've selected in RH - I make this mistake all the time!! smile

Re: Slicer Infill problem

Thanks for your thoughts guys.  I have several slicer profies setup so making sure I'm changing the correct profile is the first thing I do when something unexpected happens.

I did some more experimentation and it looks like it's just the one profile.  I'll just make a new one.  Weird though.

Double check that's it's actually changing it as well.  I've noticed a few times there's a glitch where it will let you put the new setting in, save the changes and it reverts back.  If it does that you can just edit the config file manually with notepad.

Bowden SD3, Rumba, E3D hotend, Mk5 with RtRyder changes, Direct drive Y axis and bearings, GT2 pulleys and braided fishing line, Lawsy linear bearing conversion, M3 Z screw.

Re: Slicer Infill problem

I was having similar issues seemed like it was not taking the changes . If I saved the changes it worked but if i just changed then on the screen it uses the saved profile.

Re: Slicer Infill problem

Mine i actually watched it change it back to the previous setting when i hit save, was quite frustrating.  It might have been fixed now though, i thought i remembered seeing a fix for it on the patch notes.

When this happens to me I change that setting by more than 1 and then go back to whatever setting I need.
Ex: change from 3 perimeters to 2 hit save and it bounces back to three.
Solution: change from three to 6 hit save and it sticks then change to 2 and save again.
It's a PITA but this method has always worked when this happens.
