Topic: board connectors
Recently I wondered why the hot end and bed wouldn't heat. I checked the connectors from the hot end and bed and found they had melted to a point they lost continuinty.Has anybody else seen this problem?

Fortunately this hasn't happened to me but I'm about to change my resistor bed for a silicon mat bed (both solidoodle OEM).
What hardware are you running?
My bed heater connector on the motherboard plus the wiring lit on fire just the other day. It smelled horrible, like some kind of burning chemicals.
It was the original connector, untouched / not modified on a SD4. I've got a picture on my phone but once I fixed the board, connectors and wiring I moved on.

Did you report this to Solidoodle? Seems like something they'd be interested in.

No I didn't but that was the idea when I took the picture on my phone. I guess afterwards I assumed it wouldn't make much of a difference if I had bothered them with my printer troubles or not.
But in case anyone that works there reads this and is interested I've attached the picture.
so those wires are also under rated for NFPA electrical code
