Topic: Solidoodle 3 Replacement Carriages

ALL PLEASE HELP!!

I have been taking a hiatus from printing for a bit, had a ton of stuff going on and basically 3D printing got pushed to the back burner......

Needles to say, I pulled out ye olde SD3 and was doing some belt tensioning and lo and behold the worst of worst happened, I completely snapped apart one of my replacement carriages (thingiverse item 87217).

I am going to be supergluing and hoping I can print another one,  but if anyone is able to print me a set and ship them to me I will definitely shoot some cash to them via pay pal!!

That's not a public thingiverse #,  Do you have the STL's?  Also where are you located?

Sorry, I guess I copied and pasted the wrong thing #, it is thing:104059 and I live in Denver CO.  I will gladly throw money down for filament/time/shipping.

Re: Solidoodle 3 Replacement Carriages

I will reach out to DePartedPritner and see if he might be able to assist.  I did find a 3D printer shop by me (Google for 3D Printer Store Denver) and have shot them a request to see how much printing this part would run me.  I am going to tear off the electrical tape that I used to hold the super glue in place last night and hoping for the best.

Re: Solidoodle 3 Replacement Carriages

So, I am not gonna lie, I got busy printing and did not update my post. I was able to print out a new carriage and get it installed, and I tell you what, here are the four things I am wondering "Why didn't I do this sooner?"

1. E3D v6 hotend - absolutely an amazing piece of hardware, so much cleaner than the stock hotend.
2. Upgraded PSU.  I got the PSU that AZRATE/WardJr talked about and hooked that up. Hotend and bed heat up at such a more even pace/sustained rate.
3. Lawsy's L8Muu carriage replacement carriages- no lubing, smother, cleaner overall.
4. ABS Juice - had been using Aqua Net for a while and thought that ABS juice was a hassle, but man, prints stick soooooo well now.

I am now getting RELIABLE QUALITY prints and for the first time in a year I am not thinking about tossing my SD3 out a window.......
