Really, please explain to me exactly how this whole thing bursting into pieces is going to start a fire?
So we have a hard short on 12v dc and the firmware thermistor check does not catch the runaway, and we don't blow a fuse before the fat resistor goes up in smoke, and it is laying on a pile of ramen ABS and is not in its metal housing. I am just wondering, I am tempted to see if I can make it happen.
Meant to type "*I think* it would...". Kinda hard to proof read when a toddler is crawling up your leg 
I can see how it could cause a fire hazard. If the hotend loosens up enough to wiggle its way out of the extruder, it could fall onto a print, a possible corner catching the thermistor wire and pulling it loose/snapping the line. I know this is a 1 in a trillion possibility, but Murphy's law always shows up to my door. If I am missing something to that regard, please correct me.
