Topic: repetier refuses to keep my default extrusion temp

I have an e3d v6 so I need it to print at 230. It keeps switching me back to 200 whenever I start a print. I have changed the default printer temp to 230 so it starts up with that in the box but when I start the print it returns to 200. I also changed the slic3r setting to disable temperature output control, but it didn't do anything. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Re: repetier refuses to keep my default extrusion temp

take a look at 2 different settings:

Open Slic3r configuration, and on the Filament Settings tab check your bed and extruder temperatures.
Next check your custom Gcode on the Printer Settings tab.  Look for the M104 setting

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...

Okay I changed the custom Gcode to 230. It should probably work now, thanks!

Re: repetier refuses to keep my default extrusion temp

You should just remove the temp lines from the custom gcode all together, and then use the temp settings under the 'filament' tab to control it - it will auto add them based on the filament profile but ONLY if you dont specify the commands in gcode.

That way you can set diff temps for the diff filaments you can run through your new e3d without constantly editing gcode.

Repetier was otherwise behaving as its documented it does and not really refusing anything smile

Re: repetier refuses to keep my default extrusion temp

Technically, Repetier has nothing to do with this, it's Slic3r settings.

Hey, thanks for the help. It worked, I just had to change the custom gcode. In doing so I also found some other stuff I wanted to change so it helped doubly so haha
