Topic: Anyone else seeing this error downloading Repetier Host?

I'm trying to install Repetier Host on another computer.  When I go to the Solidoodle site and click the download link, Chrome blocks it claiming it is "malicious"

Can anyone else give it a try with Chrome or something else to see what you get?  The direct link to the Solidoodle exe is here:

I get the software directly from the companies website.

I have never had a good experience with Chrome. I use Opera and never ever ever ever have any problems.
Try out Opera (or anything other than Chrome) and check your antivirus/malware settings. If using Windows 8, consult the Solidoodle instructions. That helped me on my backup computer.

Thanks Huff.  That was my main question.  I could turn off the scanning with Chrome but wasn't sure if it was a good idea. In any case, it is now working fine.

Azerate, I'm on windows 7 so that is not the problem. It is also coming from Chrome and not the virus checking software.  I can disable the chrome check but was unsure why I was getting the warning in the first place.  I like Opera for its speed but it had a lot of compatibility problems with they sites I hit. IE and Firefox are not as fast as Chrome and Opera.

Downeasta, I can get it directly, but then you have to set it up for all the Solidoodle options. Its not a big deal, I just wanted  to avoid it if I could.

You only need to do this the first time, to overcome Solidoodles decision to stick settings into the registry using RepetierHost-Solidoodle in the key; instead of the 'OEM' key of simply RepetierHost (same goes for the actual program-directory in ProgramFiles)... after you break away from that, its a simple in-place upgrade everytime... can even use the Help-Update inside the program too wink
