Topic: SD3 Y-Axis motor homing in wrong direction

Evening Folks,

I semi-broken down my SD3 to do some cleaning/re-greasing  of the rods.  I took off the Y-motor so I could work a bit easier and now that everything is cleaned and back together the y-axis moves towards me instead of towards its end-stop/homing switch.  Z and X axis home perfectly.  Any ideas what may have happened?

Flip the motor connector.

Thanks, elmoret.

This is what i was thinking about doing but the connector is keyed so i would have to bend some pins/plastic.  I guess I could try to locate a schematic and just swap the pins and plug it back in.

Why would it suddenly change directions?

Did you disconnect the motor?

I did, I disconnected everything off of the board actually.

Sounds like you have the connector on backwards/flipped

Printit Mason and Printit Horizon printers

I thought that also, but since the connector is keyed I'm not sure how I could have done so.

The connectors for the other 2 axis have the same wire pattern, from top to bottom: black, green, red and blue.

I have attached a pic of the board.  I don't have the extruder hooked up, I'm waiting on an E3D to come in.

So I just popped all of the pins out of the connector and re-wired it backwards.  I plugged everything back in and its working as intended.  /shrug stumped as to why the board suddenly thinks the y-motor needs to run backwards.
