Gonna need more info to properly diagnose your problem...
What calibrations have you done? http://www.soliwiki.com/#Calibrations
Can you move the bed up and down through repetier?
how about a screenshot of your repetier settings related to layers and such, use imgur.com to post pics
well i just set it up for a 0.2mm prints but still the ABS doesnt stick at all and the print is shifting!
-Check your belt tensions. If they are uneven, they will not be in sync.
-Add a fan onto your board. The drivers can get pretty hot and cause layer shifting.
-If the filament is not sticking, that can be one of 3 things:
*Bed has not been leveled properly
*Z height has not been dialed in
*If you are still usisng the Kapton tape on the bed, and still cannot get goot results after calibrations have been performed, you may be a good candidate for upgrading to a glass bed like many other users on this forum have done...I NEVER could get anything to stick to kapton.
Also, what temps are you running for your bed and extruder? If it is extruded too cold, and the Z height is not spot on, it can cool too much before it hits the bed. And building a case helps retain heat especially for printing ABS.
hey didnt have a chance to say thanks!
) im doing little better now!!
couple other questions if you dont mind!Disregard if they look stupid to you !
1.Witch slicer should i use the classic slicer or skeinforge?? (i just use skeinforge for a first time it was mine best print ever)
2.Also should do manual calibrations specifically for every (0.4mm,0.3mm,0.2mm,0.1mm) and save it or the default are good?
3.When i print a flat object lets say its just 2 layers there is a lot tiny little hole its like cant fill it up as well can i add an extra layer or gotta mess with flow?
not a problem! We all start somewhere, right?
1) If you wanted to learn the biggest differences between Slic3r and Skein, there is a "shootout" a user posted here on the forum. Personally, I just use Slic3r.
2) I have separate profiles for each resolution, with or without support/brim/etc, and nozzle sizes.
3) Sounds like you need to check your filament diameter in settings. I don;t know about Skein, but Slicer-got to filament settings and check your diameter. Mine was just like you describe and the setting was at 3mm...which means it was expecting more filament to be extruded than what was actually coming out. If that doesn't work, you can toy around with the extrusion multiplier which should still be close to 1
Hey guys i change the seetings on my slicer on the resolution 0.1 and try to slice with i and i had that message that doesnt let me its says:
generated G g-code not found
"i could not find the generated G-code file
Possible reasons:
- the slicer had an error and didnt finish slicing.Check log output.
- the slicer store the file with an unexpected filename.
expected file name and location
C:/..../...//.... "
what is going on ???
