Topic: Stuck to bed
Ok so i’m different to everyone else in that I had a print that firmly stuck to the heated bed on my SD4, no ABS/Acetone gloop, no glass and hairspray, just plain old kapton tape. Whilst trying to remove it with the spatula/scraper for around 5 minutes I managed to snap it in two, nothing that can't be fixed with some glue, just a shame it stuck so well that it came to that. Finally got it removed after 20 minutes of prying, some of which entailed the SD4 moving across the desk with the pressure I had to use to loosen the remains off the print from the bed.
It was the Ultimaker Ligthsaber, and I was printing at .1mm with solid infill, no supports, speed had been slowed down a little and it took 21hrs 23mins and 31 secs to print. I was thinking it was probably the time it took that caused it to stick so well to the bed, would I be correct in this assumption?
