Need way more detail in the steps you have taken and what the problem is.

First and foremost, search what is already here.

Re: new solidoodle board help?

Seems to me like a firmware issue.
And Lawsy is correct. There is so much info on here, previously posted information will hold your hand 90% of the way.

Click on the Search icon under the banner and enter some terms relating to your question. If this does not answer your questions or solve your dilemma, come back to this thread. It helps us on massive scale if you give as much detail as possible. smile

edit: After putting my toddler down and re-reading your response, either you have some connections flipped, or more commonly, firmware.

Printit Mason and Printit Horizon printers
Multiple SD2s- Bulldog XL, E3D v5/v6/Lite6, Volcano, Hobb Goblin, Titan, .9 motor, Lawsy carriages, direct Y drive, fishing line...the list goes on

sorry i keep coming back its just it's literally been one problem after another with this thing ive had it for 4 months and still have yet to make a successful print xD and i just unplugged and reconnected all the connectors on the motherboard again and am still having the same problem...so if it is a firmware problem what exactly should i do? i looked around and all i see mostly about different types of boards being connected and such

Re: new solidoodle board help?

Are you sure you have the correct Com port selected?  In Repetier you need to have reset on connect disabled in the printer settings tab.  If it is not connecting Repetier will say something like 7 commands waiting.  Make sure you don't have virtual printer selected.
What version of windows do you have?  Have you installed the correct driver?  You don't have a firmware issue.  You have a user issue and the others are right "SEARCH" is your friend.  That being said you haven't been able to print for 4 months so let's get you up and running tonight.  I'm here to help.

Re: new solidoodle board help?

I'm not on my PC so I can't send screenshots.  Upper left under Config tab then printer settings then Connection tab about 5th line down "Reset on Connect" set to disabled.  While your there under first line down " Connector" make sure Serial Connection is selected.  Also refresh your ports and select the correct Com port.  Let me know how it goes.

Re: new solidoodle board help?

While disconnected, go to Config -> Printer Settings (it's locked out when connected/connecting).

Here's a grab of my connection page, these settings are working on Win 7 for my SD3 with solidoodle printrboard.

* Note the "Reset on connect" field is set to disabled, as ward mentions.
* "COM8" may not be correct for your system: make sure the printer is plugged in, it should appear in the list to select.

Re: new solidoodle board help?

Am I understanding correctly you are connected?  That screenshot doesn't show that.  Do you have control manually over the printer now?

i dont think it's reading that my printer is connected to my computer...would it have to do with the firmware?

Re: new solidoodle board help?

So now go back to the previous posts and see what you get.  I have to apologize I am trying to get through some PC issues right now so I am trying to help with very limited resources.

its no problem im just glad your helping me smile
yea it isnt registering what printer i have connected the only option i get is "default"

Re: new solidoodle board help?

Looks close - change that receive cache to 63, and check that there aren't any other COM ports in the list. USB connections are rarely COM1 in my experience...
Save the settings, and try the connect button again, let me know what happens.

That's just the name of the profile. Default is fine for now!
