I Recently just received a shipment back from Solidoodle for a damaged board.
I've set it all back up, and I'm back to my very first original issue months ago when I first got it.
The X axis wont move. I adjusted the Trim Pot with no success. I rearranged the axis wires to see if it was a signal issue but after doing so it was still the same axis struggling to move.
Any ideas on the actions I should be taking next?
Make sure the end switch is functioning properly. when depressed it should be N.O. when it isn't being depressed it should be N.C.
What are your settings in Repetier Host -> Printer settings -> Printer Shape (Home X and X min/max and Bed Left)?
They are all set to min on the drop down menus,
Xmin 0 Xmas 200 bad left 0
Ymin 0 Ymax 200 bad front 0
Area width 200mm
Area depth 200mm
Area high 100mm
Dropdowns should be X=MAX, Y=MAX, Z=MIN
Applied settings change with no luck. Really bummed out. had this printer for over five months and I haven't even been able to print a quarter of the test filament with it yet. Thanks very much for pointing out that problem though, I was using another version of Repetier Host than I probably should have.
Are you homing in RH before trying to do anything else?
I don't know what homing in RH is?
How would I go about that?

Well- it oriented itself on every axis except X, and when it tried to function that axis it just made loud noises and wouldn't move an inch left or right. When on it's very difficult to move because the belt is tightened but when off slides fine.

This is a brand new board.. I literally just unpacked and installed it yesterday. The last board I had on this printer did this same thing. Would that not suggest it to be something else?

That is exactly why the VREF's need to be adjusted. It can only be adjusted properly when it is plugged into the motor that it is going to be operating. There is no way to do it otherwise.
Okay tried that with no success. Solidoodle tech help is suggesting that it might be a bent pin, damaged cable, or problem with the motor which I should issue a multimeter to.
Pins are all fine, it being a new board- and I can't see anything wrong with the cabless.
I'm considering as of now possibly just buying a new motor and cables, and heck maybe even some belts incase something happens during the replacement.
Still waiting to hear back from tech. I'm more of an artist than a technician so I'd like to be sure about what I'm doing.
