Topic: Is 14v going into the Solidoodle 3 safe?

I'm wondering whether I can replace the stock 12v PSU supplied by Solidoodle with a more robust unit.  I have a spare  S-350-15 http://www.meanwell.com/search/s-350/s-350-spec.pdf that I use for my astronomy gear, that I can dial down to 13.96v.  I'm wondering whether this would be a good alternative to the black brick supplied by Solidoodle, and more importantly, whether it would be safe for the electronics.

Thanks in advance,

Shawn

There are others here that can give you a more technical and qualified answer.
That being said I have run a Sang board with 14V and I am temporarily running my Rumba board with 14V.  As far as the printer board I believe you have??? I highly doubt you would have any problems.

You'll be getting 36% more power out of the heaters which could cook them, but you're probably fine. Steppers won't care, and you should mount a fan on your electronics.
