I just upgraded my printer and just when i thought i fixed all the problems this happens the x axis wont move what so ever and i just switched the x and y motor cables and the x started moving so its obviously the board...what can i do ? besides change the board
Will it not move at all in either direction?
in swapping the x/y plugs you've confirmed that the X stepper and associated wiring still works.
try swapping the X/Y limit switches as well and see if that helps.
once you confirm that the X stepper works in the Y hole,
and the stepper still moves when connected to the Y axis when the limit switches are also swapped.
Then plug in everything as you should and try swapping the stepper drivers, (i.e take out the X and the Y stepper drivers and try putting the driver from the Y axis in the X axis circuitry. (which should pull out) and see if the x-axis works then...
(I'm assuming that the stepper drivers are able to be changed on your printer?)

Not based on his signup date.. its well past the June '13 changeover to the printrboards... which means drivers can't be swapped.
Assuming it *is* a dud driver - then your only option is to: learn the joys of SMT soldering, and replace the chip, or replace the board.
The joys of the printrboard strike again ... 
(and don't even start me on the firmware crap... grrrr... remember peoples - this change in motherboard was for our benefit, not Solidoodles reduced manufacture and assembly costs honest!! ) ...
well.... in that case, when you get a new board get one where the motor drivers can be changed!
Still check the limit switches etc first, -I found on my Solidoodle 2 that the X switch -the one that rubs against the case, ended up breaking as the connection was constantly jiggled and the joint fatigued. leading to some interesting movement issues.
And because the joint was covered in heat shrink this problem was hidden from sight.

Okay so yes the x axis will not move in either direction but once switch the x and y connections the x axis moved with no problem at all

Those are the VREF's you may have read about. If you haven't adjusted them you should. Find the one for the axis giving you trouble and turn it clockwise very slightly and try moving the axis until it moves smoothly. The is a chance it needs to go counter clockwise but that is unlikely. Remember very slight adjustments make a big difference.
