Topic: Sudden increase in speed

Out of nowhere all my prints have started printing too fast to that point that they won't print unless the manual control is turned down to 50%. Seems to have got worse recently whereby it speeds up even more after first layer.

I have gone back to the original 0.3mm solidoodle profile too (downloaded from here: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/2485/ori … your-own/)

Sliced using Slic3r in Repetier host

0.5mm nozzle (j-head)

I also just finished completely recalibrating everything.

Is this a bug in the latest RH or Slic3r update?

Re: Sudden increase in speed

Check your speeds within the Slic3r settings.  I try to keep mine under 75mm/sec.  Lower if I am printing something complex.  I don't believe that it is a Slic3r bug, but I don't use Repetier anymore, so it could be a bug in that.

Re: Sudden increase in speed

all my speeds are below 75 mm/sec.

Like I said, this happened out of nowhere.

I have tried other slicers but they are less user friendly to set up and use. You can't beat RH and slic3r for ease of use. One of the things I find really useful about RH is being able to orientate parts in any direction before slicing.
