Topic: RAMPS 1.4 question
Can the 5V pins on the AUX1 and AUX2 be used to drive a fan?
I'm currently using the Sanguinololu board and I have a cooling fan for the electronics. Although that is a 12V fan , it's currently connected to 5V, and provides more than enough cooling while being almost inaudible.
I'm about to replace the Sanguino with the RAMS and I'd like to connect the fan to 5V instead of 12V.
So is it OK to connect the fan to any of the 5V on the auxiliary header? Can they provide enough current to drive the fan?
Fan Spec is 12V @.14A, so at 5V it would probably draw about .34A
BTW, what are the Auxiliary pins blocks for on the RAMS? One seems to be for driving servos, and I've seen a setup for using a Bluetooth on the AUX1, any other uses?
