Topic: nozzle size

I just  got what I thought was a .40 nozzle. I did a free air extrusion, it mesaured .53 . Logic tells me it should be .40, right?

Re: nozzle size

Sounds about right, yes. Typically die swell accounts for a ~20% increase in size.

Re: nozzle size

What Tim meant was that 0.40mm was correct. The plastic will swell %20 bigger when extruded in air.
