Topic: Which thermistor table for bargain J-Head?
Instead of jumping on the E3D bandwagon (which is an excellent choice for most I might add), I decided to try some bargain J-Head hot-ends instead. My thought is that I'd like to treat my hot-end as a swappable and sometimes disposable component, so that if I run into a clog, burnt heater, or other problem I can simply swap hot ends and adjust the bed and keep printing instead of having to stop mid-project to fix it, clean it out or soak in acetone. It also means I might be able to quickly start a new print job cold in a new color just by swapping hotends with the filament already attached.
I got a pair of them for $33.99 with free shipping here:

Now that they've arrived, I think I need to recompile the firmware setting correct the thermistor type, right? Am I correct that I should set it to table 5/ I found some online refs mentioning this, but that the "original" thermistor used table 1. I presume this is for an older J-Head, not this one, which is sold as an MK-V.
Also, while I'm at it, can someone please confirm that a J-head cartridge heater can be used with the standard SD2 power supply? I've seen one previous reference to this in a thread but it doesn't hurt to make sure.
