Topic: Y axis travelling too far?

Hello,
I've had my Solidoodle 2 since Christmas and I have printed lots of stuff without issue.

Lately I did a little bit of maintenance and cleaning and now when I print it LOOKS like my Y axis is travelling too far.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? It looks to be a third of a millimeter off.

It has been a few days and I haven't seen a response. Bump.

Re: Y axis travelling too far?

Start with lubrication and then move to calibration.  You stated that you did some cleaning recently so I am guessing something isn't moving as freely as it should.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

Re: Y axis travelling too far?

I did lubricate everything and I followed the calibration instructions on the solidoodle website.
The gaps I'm seeing almost show the opposite of something not moving freely. It looks like the Y axis is travelling too far. Is there a way within repetier-host to adjust the amount of travel on an axis?

Since it is only on the y axis, check out this thread: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/5192/inf … ter-walls/
