So ive had two beta motors running for three days now... Here are my impressions. One of the motors is much louder than the previous, the other is only slightly louder. Motors do get a bit quieter after 12-24hrs of use. Extrusion speeds are a bit better, i have had zero stall issues, Only issue is i seem to get alot more issue with feed clogs, but it may be time for new hoppers.
Warning - The following should NOT be attempted unless you want to potentially destroy your machine, your limbs, your home etc... - End Warning
I have been running one of the motors at a higher voltage (19v) for 36 hours straight now. (Pla at 157C 3mm nozzle) Zero issues with heat, no damage to the machine, everything seems to be fine just even faster than before. I'll be firing up the ABS system at 19v later this evening after i figure out why i am having such major feed issues with it and will report back on how it handles in a couple days. Now to pelletize more pla for coloring (Ian mine is very dangerous can be aimed like a gun and could double as home defense)
Ok Tim you can yell at me for running that much juice through the new motor and giving ideas to people about creating plastic pelletiing machine guns now lol
Which reminds me over 200hrs extrusion time on the reg motor at 19v and they are still going strong (i re purposed them for other projects heh)
