Topic: Extruder Calibration makes no sense???

scratching my head on this...
I recently download RH 95F. Since then, my calibrations are wwwaaaaayyyyyy off.
Always using Ian's video as the gospel, I've had luck.
But here's my dilemma:
   EEPROM set at 109.5
Set extrude to 100 then extrude
   Over extrudes by 40mm
After math ( 10,950 divided by 140= 78.214blah blah blah

This does not seem right as I can tell from previous prints I HAVE been over extruding...but not by THAT much! haha

Any suggestions??

Re: Extruder Calibration makes no sense???

Your overextruding can also be mitigated by the flow rate settings.

Re: Extruder Calibration makes no sense???

maybe post up your settings in RH for the extruder.

Did on me to, i overextrudet 35mm, noticed a small quality improvement.

You should calibrate flow rate too, and set the diameter of the fillament, if you havent alleready.

Ahhh, might be something in rh95f messing up a setting related to extrusion or flow then....

I haven't had time to get rh95f so can't be sure, but sounds like it.

Re: Extruder Calibration makes no sense???

I usually set 130 for Feed+Flow...though I have the best prints at 140 for each. I haven't seen much online as to Feedrate and Flowrate settings, so mine are entirely from empirical observation. I think Fedde and I are a short string of new RH issues....I think this is a pretty massive one though.

If ANYONE can tell me anything I am doing wrong, even with Feed+Flow, I would massively appreciate!
And thank you for the fast responses! smile
