Topic: Need Help With Bulldog Extrusion Settings.

Finished installing my Bulldog and E3D an hour or two ago. Everything is hooked up correctly.

The issue I'm having is the amount of filament coming out of the hotend isn't as much as it was with the stock parts. Not sure what settings I need to change to calibrate for the bulldog. Any help is appreciated.

The same extruder calibration as the stock parts

Re: Need Help With Bulldog Extrusion Settings.

The bulldog XL is geared 5:1 so basically your steps per mm should be close to five times the original settings.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End
SSR/500W AC Heated Glass Bed, Linear bearings on SS rods. Direct Drive Y-axis, BulldogXL
Thanks to all for your contributions

Thanks, so I just need to change the E step/mm on the firmware then callibrate? Sorry to be such a bother. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing.

Re: Need Help With Bulldog Extrusion Settings.

No bother at all.  That's exactly right mines at about 485.  You can just change it in EEPROM steps/mm E:

Mine is at 570. Seems to be pretty spot on. Might need to fudge it a little. The one thing I wish I did before all this was print the Z-Stop extension so I could use my glass bed. Trying this now.

I can already tell this is going to better than my last setup. Although my prints aren't sticking to the Kapton.. the layers look pretty amazing!! Thanks for all the advice!! You are awesome! We are learning so much over here!

Your Welcome,
as far as the Z you might be able to put the screw in from the bottom side.  That is how mine is.

Got it printed well enough to install it.. now I have the glass bed, will probably print another Z extension after I calibrate it more..

I HAVE TO SAY WOW!! There is like absolutely no banding!! This set up is amazing!!
