Topic: Solid infill is a mess

Hello,

My solid infill seems to be extruding too much i think. Every time my print gets to a piece that needs to give to use a solid infill it gets messy.

I am not sure what part of slicer i need to change to fix this.

infill density: .1
infill every 1 layer
solid fill every 0 layers
solid infill threshold 70

solid infill speed 15

Solid infill (under advanced): 0

Re: Solid infill is a mess

The problem only really gets bad if there is like 3 or more solid infills on top of each other.

Re: Solid infill is a mess

Have you calibrated your extruder?  Look at EEPROM Settings and lower E: closer to 100.

Printit Industries Model 8.10 fully enclosed CoreXY, Chamber heat
3-SD3's & a Workbench all fully enclosed, RH-Slic3r Win7pro, E3D V6, Volcano & Cyclops Hot End

Thanks to all for your contributions

Re: Solid infill is a mess

I cant access this for some reason, does that mean I have to update my firmwire?

Re: Solid infill is a mess

I doubt it... Your probably going to have to be a little more specific.

Re: Solid infill is a mess

the best way to change firmware settings is to use g/m codes to change the settings without messing around with the firmware. Here is a video Ian made explaining it. ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZGdMc2ebPo

and here are some additional links to help in case ---> http://www.soliwiki.com/Main_Page#Calibrations
