I ordered the 1st december and have my Solidoodle the 21st at home.
The 16th it was in my country but in the custom service.

Orders made at this time will simply not make it in time for Christmas.

If you have not received your order, it will most likely not make it by Christmas.

I contacted solidoodle a couple days ago and was told that I may expect my SD4 by mid to end of January.

I e-mailed customer support today.  I mentioned that my SD4 had been "OK to ship" since 16 December (16 days), and asked what the status was.  They replied that it should ship out the first week of January, and that I'd receive a tracking number when it shipped.

Hello , I'm new to Solidoodle. I have to say I am a little apprehensive about the wait time. When i ordered it showed a 7 to 10 business day wait and now that has been changed to 2-3 weeks.  After ordering I realized I meant to buy the SD2 Pro and emailed them about upgrading.  They took 3 days to respond and invoiced me and I paid the rest by paypal.  Then they lost the payment info and emailed me agian asking for it. So I copied the Paypal info and resent it.   Right now it's over a 700 dollar order.  I was concerned about the shipping time difference and replied back asking for a approx time it would ship out and I have yet to receive a response. My order is 20424

Hello All.  Update on my order for a SD3 on 12/10/13.... came today 1/6/14. 

Hubby has it out of the box, set up and is running the test print now.  He was a little concerned about a bubble in what looks like the yellow film on the printer bed.  Also wondering about the edge of one corner that seems to be coming up from the bed as its printing....   

So much to learn!

Happy to hear it showed up in one piece, now the fun begins.  Go get an 8"x8" piece of glass cut at any hardware store only a few bucks.  The yellow film is Kapton tape and the bubble shouldn't be a big concern. (pop it with a pin and try to squish the air out).  Now take your new piece of glass spray it with Aqua-Net on both sides and lay it on the bed and heat the bed up. (helps it stick)
Then reset your Z-height and check the level of the bed in relation to the nozzle. 
Did you enclose the printer yet?  Wrap it with some Saran Wrap until you can come up with a more permanent solution.

Thanks!  He put plastic wrap on it last night.  He was up late printing a shot glass so he could have a shot before bed.  smile

Their shipping leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered some replacement parts 5 days ago and was promised my order would be expedited. So far I have received nothing. I do have a nice boat anchor tho. sad

It means they choose the cheapest shipping method available. It is most likely USPS or UPS. You are not getting ripped off, it is merely to keep it simple for them. By the way, I think an explanation for your question if somewhere in the forums posted by solidoodlesupport. Search for it if you want the juicy details. I don't remember where i saw it.

Happy for you all who are getting shipping info, but bummed out at the same time.  Just emailed the support asking what my order status is.  Why are orders with order numbers higher than mine (19259) and order dates later than mine (11/22) being shipped, and my order status just still says "ok to ship"?
