Topic: z offset for glass bed

So I bought a glass plate and put some pet tape on it and I want to try and print more abs with it but I don't want to have to reset the z stop every time I swap to a different filament. I use kisslicer and it has the z offset option but it doesn't wait till it's offset.   Is there a way to make it wait for z offset?

Why not just do all prints on the glass bed?  PLA and most other filaments print well on it.  If you do want to use a software offsets, then in most slicers, the Z-Offset is under the "Printer" settings, meaning you would need to create a "new printer" in the software with a z-offset equal to the thickness of the glass.

PLA is working great on the kapton tape so I don't want to mess it up. I want it for ABS printing and if I get a geolite board so I can switch that it as well for the 618 which is printable with the sd3
