Topic: Hello Everyone! 3D Printing in Houston Texas

I am new to the group. It wasn't that long ago I paid $500 for my first HP Color printer.
I was so happy about the process. But the thought of my very own 3D Printer, is just
too cool.  I can't wait to get my hands on somebody's printer, and I have no realistic Idea
which one to buy first.  So, is there anything I need to know before I commit?

Welcome to the forum Pat, The best advice I can give you is read as much as you can smile this forum probably has one of the largest amounts of good 3d printer related knowledge in one spot I would suggest starting in the 'help/repair' section as you will see most of the common problems people face with 3d printers which in itself can be enlightening to the new user smile. No matter which brand you decide to go with they all operate basically the same way by using a heater to melt the filament which then gets pushed through a tiny nozzle that is directed about by stepper motors... So are you thinking about a kit or something fully assembled?
