Topic: Teflon tape instead of Kapton

I just finished torching my nozzle and brass barrel after a nasty clog. No kapton tape on hand. Could I use teflon tape instead to electrically insulate the thermistor from the brass nozzle and to hold it on in addition to the fiberglass rubber band that is on the nozzle?

Teflon tape is definitely heat resistant enough, and doesn't conduct.

Am I missing something here?

you can use anything that will handle the heat, it's just not as friendly to use.

Got it, put it on, and works just fine. Nice to have a readily available stand in.
