Topic: Extrude clicked: Test=OK -> Run on STL file -> No extrusion during op
Hello.
Have had four runs where plastic has not flowed out the extruder nozzle.
Short description: The nozzle has been heated up to 195 degrees, and the nozzle flow has been tested by oozing plastic out of the nozzle. Clicked "Run" on a loaded and sliced file, and no plastic comes out of the nozzle.
Long description:
1. Loaded file under Repetier shell.
2. Heated up both bed and nozzle, (individually, in that order).
3. Drew violin string out of nozzle.
4. Inserted plastic into nozzle channel,
and clicked Extrude button on Repetier shell until plastic came out of the extruder nozzle.
Cleaned off excess plastic from nozzle.
5. Clicked "Run" on Repetier shell.
6. Watched the run.
(Problem):
* > Did not not not observe any plastic being extruded from the extruder nozzle. < *
Other notes:
Changes in Repetier do not seem to change the lack of plastic flow.
Between runs, I reviewed the "Solidoodle Wiki / How To Print" instructions, and then generally rambled through the
SoliForum messages, looking for answers.
Everything I have checked about the physical Solidoodle is all right.
Had the bed too high, and have a scrape on the Kapton, but do not need to replace it.
Z-stop turned down 1/4 turn after that.
I have not started other calibrations.
So:
What do you people who are further up the success ladder suggest I do?
James.
