Topic: Extruder bumping across top of print?

Okay so I have been having this problem for a while and I figure its time I adress it.  When printing if the extruder needs to cross the print to a different section of it you can hear it bumping across the thin (solid) infill.  This is obviously in the solid infill bottoms layers.  What could be causing this?  I have calibrated my extrusion so thats definately not it.  Thanks!

Check your retraction settings; z lift.  That can help quite a bit.

calibrating extrusion for steps/mm is only the start. You then have to adjust the multiplier to get .42mm single walls. You have a classic over-extrusion if your nozzle drags through the previous layer (except the very first one).
