Topic: Thickening Walls To Make Printable???

I tried this method, but really just ended up with two parallel surfaces that I can't close up at the seams. Any other suggestions or does anyone want to make an attempt at it for me?

grab the new slic3r from slic3r.org, 1.0RC1 . It has an option 'detect thin walls' which works better on thin walls in general. And then ramp up your infill ?

Did you see the bit at the end where they joined the two surfaces back up?

I followed everything he did but they stayed seperate. I made it using Autodesk 123D Catch so the model might a bit holely. Not sure if that is the issue. I am currently trying to adjust the flow of my extrusions as it was taking in 13cm of ABS for every 10cm it said it was so I changed the stepper motor rate. I am currently trying to find the best extrusion multiplier because whenever I used higher infills before it made the outside of models bumpy and ugly looking.

Sure. Is https://www.wetransfer.com/ a good service to use?

I've never heard of it. Just make sure I don't have to make an account to download it.

It seems to require your e-mail so it can message you directly. Prefer a different site?

Can't you simply attach it to a post here?

This is a crowd funding thing that I'm running: http://www.gofundme.com/bvi140 It's for pretty selfish reasons tongue

On the new 1.0RC version of slic3r I can have 1/32" walls and it still works properly.  Until this point, on 0.9whatever, if I went under 1/8" it would fail with the two parallel lines.

I did make a similar suggestion re 1.0RC1 and it's thin wall detection few days ago.. but based on the replies or lack there of I'm assuming it didn't seem to suit. .*shrug*. ..

Strange.  I know that I'm practically dreaming because the only problem I had with the printer was that I had to thicken everything or it wouldn't print.  Oh well, maybe he'll try it now that two people suggested? lol
