Topic: How to Remove Pressed-in Nut from New Aluminum Platform

I just got a new aluminum platform as a replacement for the original wood one.  I want to put my ballscrew on this, but I can't remove that pressed in nut no matter how hard I try.

I mean, I could get a pry bar or breaker bar, but I don't want to warp the frame.  I tried to rotate it, I  tried to wiggle it back an forth, nothing.  It just won't budge.

Has anyone removed that yet, if so how?

Thanks for the link.   Unfortunately I already had the printer disassembled and I couldn't print the plastic piece.  BUt I kept working the nut with my vice grips and eventually started to give, and I got it out.

Thanks for all the help.

Rotate it with vice grips, came out pretty easily for me.
