My Solidoodle 2, ordered on August 17 has finally arrived (via UPS) and I've unpacked it (though not plugged it in yet). Nothing seems wrong with anything I notice, so hopefully it will work - I'll find out when I work up the nerve to plug it in :-).

Received my SD2 today. Ordered 8/2/13. It spent 5 weeks in customs and a $96 fee. The shippers are just to rough. the right carriage is broken. I put 2 part epoxy on the broken off pieces, hope that will hold it for now. #05754

I ordered the SD3 on 09/29/2013 and I can not (but have to) wait for it to arrive.

Order#17402, does that mean that from the time Solidoodle began shipping they have over 17K machines out there, cool.

Received my Solidoodle 3 today, I only had two problems. My Windows 8 just about refused to install the usb drive, but with the online information I had it fixed in no time. I noticed that the extruder rocks back and forward changing the height from the build surface, there are two rectangular pieces at the back of the extruder and all I needed to do was rotate the bottom one to be against the rear X axis rail and the rocking was gone.

First print is a Box and it is working great. Very Nice Machine. Thank you very much.

I ordered a SD3 on 10/31/13....the store site said in stock and ships in 3-5 business days.   It's now two weeks and counting. I guess from reading the horror stories in this forum that's not too bad. 
Do they at least send an email with a tracking number when it ships?

Also did you receive an initial order confirmation email from them? if not make sure to check your spam box because if you did not receive the order confirm email it may not be ordered, lately it usually only takes a week or two to get a printer but depending on when it was ordered could affect things as I think they make SD3's on the line for a while then switch to SD2's... so if you ordered while the shop was making SD2's it could add a few days

Haha...I hear ya...  I was just disappointed that the site where you buy the Solidoodle specifically says ships in 3-5 days and that it was in stock.  I just didn't find this forum until after I bought it.  Not meaning to be a whiner though.  I totally understand that it's a startup and it may take awhile before I get my SD3.  No worries though. It's exactly what I want and I'm willing to wait for it.    I only posted on here so others might have a recent shipping benchmark to go by.
Just wish they'd fix the online store. It's misleading.

What about parts from the parts store? 

I placed an order for an aluminum printbed platform last week, but as of now, the status remains unchanged ("Processed")

How long do they take to ship parts?

Order in 11/14/13.  Order history changed from pending to Ok to ship on 11/20/13...a week later and nothing.  Really it takes over a week to get from Brooklyn to Maryland?  Still waiting.....waiting.....waiting.  Hope it gets here soon.

Your order hasn't actually shipped yet. Remember, if your order doesn't say *shipped* you are still in line.
