Topic: Repetier Printer setting - Add to comp. print time?

Hi all,
I wanted to have my estimated times more accurately represent my print times so i had to set the 'add to comp. print time' from 8% that was apparently default to 75%.  That seems like a drastic change.  Has anyone else noticed this?

I figured out the change by recording the actual print time of the job as displayed by Repetier and then adjusting the comp time until the estimated was within a minute or two of the estimated time.

I'm pretty sure the 75% is accurate because that's about how far off my estimates have been.  I never noticed it until i started printing several 3/4 hour plus print jobs.  I had one job estimate at around 5 hours and it ended up taking 8.

thanks

Strange.... the installs of RH I have were usually pretty accurate, what were some of your other settings? infill,speed,acceleration,etc...

Although I have to say that most of the parts I make anymore are small to midsized and only have print times ranging from 45 mins. to 1.5 hrs. but they usually come in within a couple minutes of RH estimate.
