Haven't come across a Panelolu2 but there is a very detailed guide on here for wiring and installing a Panelolu.

Have you used the search function?

I already saw your installation guide and I love it, helps a lot. I just want to get the panelolu 2 because there's a lot less wiring, and it doesn't go on the case itself.

Can you supply a link or a picture to what you have bought? I haven't heard about  panelolu 2. To start with you need to solder pins to and change the chip on the sanguinololu board. Any lcd mod will have you doing these steps.

Re: Help install and configuring panelolu2 and a cooling fan for abs

I had a quick search and it seems that they have released an updated version where it uses less pins with IC2 like the Vikilcd.

In their instructons you had to make Arduino library instructions and use a different branch of Marlin, similar to vikilcd.

For this reason I'm glad I've gone to the linux tablet to control it. I have a heavily modified version of VisPrinter I've been developing which I'll release shortly.

I also bought the panelolu2 and I'm looking for info on how to hook it up and use it on a SD3.

Does anybody have a good firmware version for the panelolu2 on a solidoodle 2 please?
I spend lot of time to try modifications but it never works.

https://github.com/ozadr1an/Solidoodle- … n_v1_beta/

Panelolou2's are supported in my latest beta's.
Download that source code, change the configuration.h as required (Solidoodle version 2, enable the panelolu2 at the bottom, confirm the motherboard type is correct).

This is known to work Sanguinololus & RAMPS.. which based on your rego date you probably have.. and theres no reason the Panelolu2 stuff, being I2C, wont work as configured on the printrboards either.

Thanks for your quick reponse but unfortunately it won't works again.
I have just a blue screen and when I uncomment DEFINE PANELOLU2, I can't connect repetitier with or without the panelolu2 plugged on the sangino board.
Do you think it's possible that the LCD screen is dead?

Re: Help install and configuring panelolu2 and a cooling fan for abs

depends how its wired up etc. Usually speaking they are pretty hardy things.
I dont have an I2C LCD handy at the moment (the type the P2 is) so I can't test I'm sorry. Double check how you've got it hooked up etc is all I can suggest - but the P2 code in that beta is from mainline-marlin which has pulled lincomatic's tweaks a few months back, so theres no reason it shouldn't work (that I can see - not having one in front of me wink )

Re: Help install and configuring panelolu2 and a cooling fan for abs

For the P2: If the mainboard is not connected to the I2C interface correctly, it hangs the firmware. In otherwords, if you did not connnect everything up correctly, then the firmware gets stuck (and is why Repetier is not working).

Double check your connections and pin numbering. They have to match.
