Topic: Solidoodle 2 Nozzle Cleaner
I liked the idea behind the Solidoodle 3 Nozzle Cleaner (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:131656), but it was designed for a wider Solidoodle 3 bed. I've just put up my remix, the Solidoodle 2 Nozzle Cleaner (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:176227).
It seems to work well (though I think I bumped my glass bed while installing it and now need to level it again). I currently just use the RH manual controls to run the nozzle across the pipe cleaner (I had a pipe cleaner, I didn't have a guitar string), but it seems like I ought o be able to add more startup gcode to do it automatically.
Can Repetier Host log the actual commands it sends? Recording what RH does would be the simplest way to generate the startup code I need without having to think too hard :-).
Edit: Yep, I found the logfile option under Config/General settings, and even created extra start code to run the nozzle over the pipe cleaner. No more opening the case to tweeze the drooling plastic. Full description (including start code) on my web page at:
