Topic: Extruder Fan is not working!
I just got my solidoodle 3 recently, and the fan is not operating. I am wondering what's wrong with it and how can i fix it?
does anyone know?

could be the plug onto the main board is on backwards, this is a common problem from the factory. just find the two pin header marked fan and reverse it.

Thank you!!! it works!!However, another problem arises...how can I control how fast is it spinning? I just plugged the solidoodle charger in and it will start spinning. I've tried to control it via the repetier fan control and it doesn't do anything...it just keep spinning...

the fan on the extruder stepper motor is supposed to spin all the time
The fan control is for a fan directed on the print surface - it is not installed on the SD by default.

The fan on the extruder motor is supposed to spin 100% all the time.
The fan controls in RH are for a separate extruder fan (not included with the solidoodle) designed to cool the extruded filament. There are lots of threads about adding such a fan.
