it has been my experience that springs tend to hang on occasion ( if you bump the bed the spring will move and hang
I have been thinking of using an air bladder system under the bed. air pressure would keep the pressure even on all points of
the bed.
do You think it would be better than springs.
Not unless you were to build a system that would compensate for the change in temperatures (p1/t1 = p2/t2) and the related change in pressure and thus volume of the air bladder so the bed wouldn't impact the print head whenever you had a temperature change.
In other words, this would be almost a nightmare.
what i was thinking about was putting the air bladder between 2 plates with the heat bed on the top plate.
You still would have a change in temperature, especially if it's in an enclosure. You wouldn't need much of a temperature change to mess around with the layers.
But, on the offhand you get it done, let us know about it. 
So we are talking about a thermarest for a borosilicate plate?
