Topic: Heating the bed in reasonable time

Solidoodle 2 with heated bed

I have noticed it takes forever to get to 100c on this thing so I have begun using a little trick.
I just started reading this forum, so let me know if you have heard this one.  I have been placing
an insulator on the bed during warm up and heating happens much faster.

I would like to find a pre-cut piece of material, like the material on the under side of the bed that I can
just lay out during the warm up.  What is that thing made out of?  <--My actual question is here.

That used to be a common hack - these days most people just swap out their heating pads for a slightly more primo option.

I just throw a good kitchen potholder on it...works great!

SD2 - Stock - Enclosure - Heated Bed - Glass Plate - Auto Fire Extinguisher
Ord Bot Hadron - RAMPS 1.4 - Bulldog XL - E3D v6 - 10" x 10" PCB Heated Build w/SSR - Glass Plate
Thanks for All of Your Help!

Same here.  Pot holder FTW.
