Topic: need replacement led light strip for my SD3

I tried to search and could not find any info on the forum I need to replace the led light strip for My SD3
does anyone know where I can find a led strip like the OEM one.
Solidoodle does not list them in the store.

Ultimaker S3.

I'm not absolutely positive, but I think it is just wired up to 12 volts like the fan, so any LED strip designed to run on 12 volts could probably be used. I've bought things from the LED supply folks from time to time. This might work (and leave you some left over):

You can get it here.  It's a 15 ft. reel for $5.00  This should let you wrap the whole machine in LED.  Or you can cut it to length as you need.

Or you can do what I did, and use an RGB strip, so you can dial in whatever color you want

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...
SD3 printer w/too many mods,  Printrbot Simple Maker Ed.,  FormLabs Form 1+
AnyCubic Photon, Shining 3D EinScan-S & Atlas 3D scanners...
...and too much time on my hands.

Oh No! Now we need firmware support for controlling the light color so you can use it to indicate printbed temp or something :-).

And who gets to deal with the 3 different PWM libraries to deal with the options out there smile not all strips are WS2XXX based...

And if the strips Not PWM IC based, can't do it, as we don't have the spare clock ticks to drive 3xPWM channels for pretty lights smile
