Topic: Quality of printing

Hi, first, I'm french, so i'm sorry about my bad english...

I Have a Solidoodle 3 since 1 week, I made all calibrations as explain in the solidoodle wiki. I try to make my first print (an electronic cover with fans), but i have some issues with this object.

I made 2 pictures.

On the first one, (bottom) lot of thread are not sticking together, so they are "free" and can brake easily. We can also see that thread is passing through the little holes...

On the second picture, in the red circles, perimeters is not sticking with the infill...

Printing conditions are:

Extruder: 195°C
Bed: (original Kapton), 100°C, with hairspray (the object is sticking hard on the kapton), and my solidoodle is closed to keep stable temperature).

If you have any idea to solve the problems?

Thank you

Nicolas

Re: Quality of printing

Circles look bad, that is one problem why infill does not reach the edges. Have you adjusted your X and Y belts?

Also, your infill is uneven throughout. I would suspect that your filament is catching on something, getting tangled before the extruder. Can you make sure the spring on the tension arm gives enough tension for the extruder. Also try printing while keeping the filament spool loose.

Re: Quality of printing

I was thinking the top layer shows signs of temperature fluctuation.

How much variation in extruder temperature does RH show?  You may need to PID autotune.

You may also want to print a little hotter.

Re: Quality of printing

I tried to adjust the Y belt, but one seems to be blocked...I will try to unblock it. I didn't see how to adjust X belt.
The filament is free...

Temperature of the extruder fluctuate between 193 and 198 (To be verified).

Should I print at 200° or more?

I tried to print with a higher flow rate, and results seems really better. Could it be the only problem?
