Topic: J-head thermistor setting.
What is the proper thermistor setting in firmware for a j-head? The reason I'm asking is because I just melted mine after a PID tune. I don't know what went wrong.

When I did the Azteeg X3 mod, I changed hot ends to an E3D at the same time. To get the correct setting, I looked at what they sold as the thermistor & matched it to the table in the firmware file configuration.h. Worked like a charm - Thanx Lawsy.
I know it's apples & oranges but it may pay to look it up. I don't know what is normally or otherwise supplied with J heads, otherwise I would answer more directly.

Thank you for your prompt responses.
I have been thinking about the E3D. I guess now is a great time to upgrade. I did not get my J-head from hotends.com so I think I got a cheap knockoff. Here I thought I was done with the upgrades for a while, but no, it's always something.
Where is a good place to get the E3D? I'm looking at e3d-online.com but I'm not sure I want to order from the UK.
UPDATE: It seems that the UK is the only place to get it. I was hoping to find a distributor that was located on this side of Earth but, that didn't stop me from ordering it. I think it is best to order straight from the official source, unlike my j-head.
Also, this Sanjay fellow seems to be a guy who knows what he's doing and I appreciate his involvement.
The current thermistor for j-heads are table 5. I did a PID on the one on my delta and it heated up fine and didnt melt, but I also had a thermocouple taped to it to verify temp.
