Topic: Underside fan duct to suit E3D hot end

I've finally got around to designing a fan duct that fits in the limited space under the extruder carriage when the longer E3D hot end is fitted.

This is a quick and simple print and only needs 4 x M3 screws to fit. It suits a 30 x 5 mm fan. You need to be using the updated centre_front piece of my replacement carriages (old versions of the rest are fine).

No idea if it fits with enough clearance for other hot ends. For much shorter/compact designs, I have my other fan duct on Thingiverse.

Very nice! Where did you get your fan from?

Nice.  Is there any extra clearance for a thicker fan?  7.4mm?  10mm?

If not, I suppose one could attach it to the center rear piece of your replacement carriage and extend the duct?

You are right. The funny thing is my spare one measures 7.5mm thick.
