Topic: qu-bd bed not heating

I have a 6x6 qu-bd silicone heat mat that won;t heat.

There is 12v at the connector when I set Repitier to heat the bed.

What should the resistance be on the mat? Multimeter says it is .455 k ohm

All steppers work and hotend heats up.

Re: qu-bd bed not heating

I've never had a qu-bd heat mat, but I would imagine it works like a standard resistor.  455 ohm resistance is really high in this case, that means you have less than .3 watts of heat being generated, and I'm pretty sure thats not right.

assuming it should draw roughly 10 amps that puts resistance at 1.2 ohms versus the 455 your seeing now
Looks like your mat has a problem

Thanks for the info on the resistance. New one on order.
