Topic: Z Axis stuck or not responding
Hey team,
I was lowering my print bed to have a little more room to clear out a jam, and now its not responding at all. I can hear the motor engage, but the Z-axis seems to be stuck at the bottom.
Any tips?

Check the cables to the board and that the end stop is not obstructed. Also tell repeatier to home the z axis (house icon).
Done and done, is it possible it could have fallen off track? Any way to manually raise the platform?
sometimes the leadscrew nut can get jammed on to the end of the threads... just turn it by hand(you might get a little greasy) looking down at the printer turn it clockwise to raise the bed.
Oh... unplug the printer first otherwise you will be fighting the stepper ![]()
YOU guys rock, thanks!
On a side note... the best way to prevent that from happening again is lower the Z size a mm or two in the printer size configuration.
