Topic: Longest Print time?

Hello

I have a object to print and slicer tell me it will be over 19 hours.
is it safe to print?

I can't see how I can cut the object to print in 2 or more piece. and I would like to print in one go.
as it will be without junction.

So what are the longest print you have done?

6 hours... :-)
isn't there a warning about do not leave your printer unattended?
so i put a co2&smoke alarm next to it.

"1kg should last for an while" is a lie!

Re: Longest Print time?

I think I did a 17 hour print once.

The biggest issue is to make sure it is a well designed model, has good adhesion to the build platform and you have plenty of filament.  Keep checking on it so that you can stop it if it messes up.

19 hours. I think there were a few 20+ hr prints.  0.1m really takes long sometimes tongue.

Yeah, good adhesion is important, and no weak spots for peeling. Hopefully no tangle in your filament spool.

Recently I've been printing PLA and found it realllyyy easy to be comfortable with my adhesion over a long print, though it's trickier with ABS.

thanks for the reply.

It's next to my computer and I work home so I will have an eyes on it constantly.

however 19h is very long.

how can I cut an STL in several part?

Re: Longest Print time?

I printed a couple of these. I don't think you can get a tangle with these, at least I haven't since I started using them to feed the filament... Fingers crossed ;-)
