I ordered an SD3 on 7/18/13 (order#14830) and received an emailed today (from Edrick) that it will be 2-3 weeks from order date to ship date.

How is it that an order placed after mine, for the same unit, has already shipped. Is there some kind of Expedite Fee or something else which people can pay to move up in the queue?

**** UPDATE ON 7/26/13 -- Well, I found out that my order was being held up because they are out-of-stock on the Natural Color Filament (I was told that they don't know when they are getting any more stock again). I switched my order to a different color filament and received notice that it is being shipped today. Note that if I hadn't asked about my order, it would have stayed on hold until the natural color filament was back in stock, sometime in the unknown future. ****

If it matters to anyone, I got mine only four days after ordering. Which from what I can see is pretty fast! I was bracing for two week lead time, but.. Nope! Guess it helps that I'm so close to NYC that I can get there in an hour and a half.

S2 btw, not an S3

Ordered on 22/7/13. Order number 14908. No news yet....

Edit: Shipped on 30th July. I hope it gets here before the holidays next week in my country.

Mine is a SD3 as well. Just strange that orders much later than mine got shipped together.

So it seems like Solidoodle has gotten faster at building and shipping SD3s.

Order 15053 placed on July 26, 2013, shipped July 30, 2013 for a SD3.

S3. Order nr 15002. Estimated time to ship on the August 7th.
So seems the orders are going out in a in a odd order, or some pattern I cant see

Edit: this have been shipped today, so orderd 24/07/2013, shipped 31/07/2013.

We alternate between S2s and S3s. We also are experiencing a shortage of natural filament, so some orders with natural filament are being slightly (till tomorrow) delayed.

This time last year the lead time was about 20 weeks. This thread has certainly become more friendly since then.

WoW!!! I was expecting a 2 week lead time.

instead.. order 15174 made on 30/7/2013, shipped on the 1/8/2013 (and yes, I refuse to use that ridiculous American date format)

i was expecting to wait at last 2-3 weeks before shipping, this is very disappointing, i'm now stuck with rebuiding my shop for the new 3d printing / molding area much faster! these fast shipments must stop!

forgot to mention the order that i placed on july 30th and shipped on august 1st arrived on the 12th here in canada in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. That's impressive for international shipping.

very well packaged as well.

I ordered the SD2 on the 12th. It would have been the SD3, but they suddenly sold out.

It said 'out of stock' on August 12, when I was about to order. I had to switch to the SD2
